A clevis is a mechanical connector designed to link two components, permitting some movement, typically rotational.
The clevis (fork) is a U-shaped piece featuring holes at the ends of its prongs to accommodate the clevis pin. The clevis pin resembles a bolt but is either partially threaded or unthreaded, with a cross-hole for a split pin.
